Billing and Subscriptions
The Billing and Usage page provides a complete overview of your current plan, usage statistics, feature access, and subscription management. Hawkra offers a Free tier for individuals getting started, a Premium tier for professional teams and advanced features, and a Self-Hosted option for organizations that need full control over their deployment.

How It Works
Navigating to Billing and Usage
- Click your display name in the top-right corner of the navigation bar. A dropdown menu appears.
- Select Billing & Usage from the dropdown menu.
- You are taken to the Billing page at
/account/billing.
Alternatively, from the Account Settings page, click the View Subscription Information link in the Subscription section.
Understanding the Page Layout
The Billing page is organized into three sections:
- Current Plan — Shows your active tier, subscription status, renewal date, and upgrade or management options.
- Usage Statistics — Displays real-time usage bars for workspaces, storage, reports, and API calls against your tier limits.
- Feature Access — A checklist showing which premium features are available on your current plan.

Free Tier
The Free tier is ideal for individual security professionals and students. It includes core scanning import capabilities (Nmap, Burp Suite, BloodHound), basic OSINT tools (WHOIS and DNS lookups), and limited AI assistant access. The Free tier supports up to 10 assets per workspace and does not include team collaboration features.
Premium Tier
The Premium tier unlocks the full Hawkra feature set for professional teams and organizations. It includes all import formats, full AI assistant access, TalonStrike active reconnaissance, all five OSINT tools, team collaboration with role-based access, remediation tracking, and custom report branding. Premium supports 1,000+ assets per workspace and includes higher limits for storage, reports, and API calls.
Self-Hosted Tier
The Self-Hosted tier provides the same feature set as Premium but runs entirely on your own infrastructure. Asset limits, user limits, and workspace limits are governed by your license key. Self-hosted instances can integrate with local LLM providers for unlimited AI assistant usage with no data leaving your environment.
Upgrading to Premium
If you are on the Free tier, the Current Plan section displays upgrade buttons:
- Choose between Monthly ($49/mo) or Annual ($470/yr) billing. The annual option saves 20%.
- Clicking either button redirects you to a secure Stripe Checkout page.
- Complete the payment process on Stripe with your preferred payment method (credit card, debit card, etc.).
- After successful payment, you are redirected back to Hawkra with a confirmation message: "Your subscription has been activated successfully. Welcome to Premium!"
- Your account is immediately upgraded and all premium features become available.

Annual billing at $470/year saves you 20% compared to paying $49/month ($588/year). If you plan to use Hawkra for more than a few months, the annual option provides significant savings.
Managing an Active Subscription
If you are on the Premium tier, the Current Plan section shows your subscription details:
- Status badge — Displays "Active", "Canceling", "Past Due", or "Canceled" depending on your subscription state.
- Renewal/End date — Shows when your subscription renews (or ends, if canceling), along with the number of days remaining.
- Manage Subscription button — Opens the Stripe Billing Portal where you can:
- Update your payment method
- View past invoices and receipts
- Change your billing plan (monthly to annual or vice versa)
- Cancel your subscription
- Resubscribe after cancellation

When you cancel a Premium subscription, you retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free tier. Your data is preserved, but features beyond Free tier limits become inaccessible until you resubscribe.
Usage Statistics
The Usage Statistics section provides real-time progress bars for four tracked metrics:
- Workspaces — Number of workspaces created vs. your tier limit.
- Storage — Total storage consumed by uploaded files and reports vs. your storage quota.
- Reports This Month — Number of reports generated in the current billing month vs. your monthly limit.
- API Calls This Month — Number of API calls made in the current billing month vs. your monthly limit.
Each bar is color-coded:
- Green — Usage is below 75% of the limit.
- Yellow — Usage is between 75% and 90% of the limit.
- Red — Usage is at or above 90% of the limit.
For Self-Hosted users, limits may display as "Unlimited" depending on your license configuration.
Feature Access
The Feature Access section displays a checklist of premium features and whether they are available on your current plan:
- Nessus Import — Import vulnerability scan results from Tenable Nessus.
- OpenVAS Import — Import scan results from OpenVAS/Greenbone.
- OWASP ZAP Import — Import web application scan results from OWASP ZAP.
- Premium OSINT Tools — Access to the full suite of five OSINT reconnaissance tools.
- Team Collaboration — Invite team members to workspaces with role-based permissions.
- Custom Report Logo — Upload a custom logo for branded PDF reports.
Each feature shows a green checkmark if available or a gray cross if not included in your tier.
Key Actions
- Monthly / Annual upgrade buttons — Start a Stripe Checkout session to upgrade to Premium (Free tier only).
- Manage Subscription — Open the Stripe Billing Portal to manage payment methods, invoices, and cancellation (Premium tier only).
- View Subscription Information — Link from Account Settings to the Billing page.
If your payment fails and your subscription enters a "Past Due" state, update your payment method promptly through the Stripe Billing Portal. Failure to resolve the payment issue may result in loss of premium access.
Self-Hosted users do not see upgrade or subscription management options on this page. Plan limits for self-hosted instances are determined by the license key configured during deployment. See the Self-Hosted documentation for license management details.
